This limited edition nail polish gel effect duo is a set of two polishes, which are very good and come in 18 colours. The set contains two products a colour and a topcoat. Its very easy to use, you don’t need any UV light, you just apply the colour polish without any special cleaning or preparing of the nail, you don’t need a base coat either.

The colour polish applies very smoothly and evenly without any uneven patches, one coat covers the whole nail very nicely. On first glance the brush looks very thin and small however it gets the job done very well without having to do more than one coat. You must wait two minutes after applying and then you apply the topcoat and wait three minutes. The top coat sets and it looks shiny and just like shellac and gel nails.

I tried different shellacs and gels from the salons and they didn’t really work on my nails for some reason as most nail polishes chip fairly quickly and would only last 2-3 days. I have been using this product for 5 days and its only just now started to chip off a little bit but I have been washing the dishes twice or more a day and cleaned the bathrooms and they have survived through that so they are fairly durable.

It removes fairly easily and fast. I did it with Bourjois 1 second sponge dissolvent. It came off even faster than ordinary nail polish. Alicante, Spain

We just came back from a lovely half term holiday where we had a very good time in Alicante, Spain. A two-hour plane ride and you are in a sunny country with amazing food and beautiful relaxing beaches.

This was our second time in Alicante, the first time we went there was in October last year, the weather was so good it was very nice and hot, perfect tanning conditions. This time around the weather wasn’t as great as it was in October but it was still fairly hot and we stayed at the same hotel as we did in October its called the Melia Alicante. It is located between the Alicante harbour and Postiguet beach.

The view from our room was beautiful; our rooms had balconies, which overlooked the stunning Postiguet beach with golden sand and sparkling blue seawater from the Mediterranean. The view from the rooms on the opposite side of the hotel are just as stunning with scenes from the harbour of many different yachts and of the memorable promenade lined with palm trees, separating the market from the shops and restaurants.

My family and I spent 5 days in Alicante. We rented a car for one day and drove around the coast to different beaches and little villages we had a great time with exquisite views. We drove to Altea, which is what the locals call the Paris of Alicante. There were fashionable shops, cute little cafes and many beachfront restaurants with mesmerising views. It was an adorable little town.

Not far from our hotel there’s a great shopping centre where we went during a rainy day. Alicante has lots of different shops and cafes all around the city not too far to walk to from the hotel or beach. They also have like a high street with lots of shops and I visited Sephora & Kiko (make-up stores) there a couple of times to stock up on some beauty products.

We all enjoyed our amazing holiday and are looking forward to going there again next year.

Lancôme Grandiose Mascara- 01 Noir Mirifique

This mascara has gorgeous packaging. A black sleek shape with a transparent black lid that has the Lancôme rose logo on it. The mascara wand has a swanlike neck design, it is bent and twisted slightly which makes the wand very comfortable to apply mascara with as it reaches the eyelashes right at the very beginning and end of your eye.  The bristles on the brush are short and silicone; they are very soft compared with other mascara wands I have used.

The mascara itself has a thick creamy formula, which works very well on my eyelashes as well as my daughters. It makes our eyelashes long, thick and adds extra volume to the lashes and lasts all day. Its very quick and easy to apply and equally as easy to take off. I normally remove it with a Micelle Solution, I personally use the Bioderma Sensibio H2O micelle solution, but any other one should work just as well.

It costs £24.50, which is slightly pricey for mascara however it is 100% worth it. It lasts a fairly long time; I first bought mine in December 2014 and am still using it now in April. My daughter also often borrows mine so it has lasted 5 months with at least one person using it everyday.  My daughter and I love this product and will definitely repurchase once we have finished it.

Every time I see somebody wearing the Alexander Wang Rocco bag. I always think I really really want to have this bag but after a couple of attempts to try to purchase this bag I would always back out at the check out counter, yes it is a beautiful bag and its going to last for a long time but with my life style, I always have my bag on the floor in the restaurant and on the floor in my car and the thought of having an expensive bag on the floor all the time, I just couldn’t do it.

But a month ago I was browsing Zara bags online and I saw this beauty which reminded me so much of the Rocco bag and it only cost £39.99 which is a good price to pay for this bag. So I got it straight away. I love it, it has a lot of space and its heavy duty as well and it looks very cool with the gold metal hardware and zips at the front of this bag.

The make of this bag looks very expensive and fashionable; this bag is made of faux leather and inside has two pockets and two pockets on the front. It has two small handles, which you can wear on the arm, or the longer handle, which you can wear across the body.

I'm very happy with this bag and I think it’s a very good dupe for the Rocco bag.
