When it comes to using face masks I have been very lazy,
especially in the evenings, as I just want to quickly remove my make up, wash
my face put some moisturiser on and go to bed. But when it comes to using
face masks it’s a completely different story, because it usually adds an extra
10-15 minutes to my routine and sometimes I feel very sleepy and too tired to
wait so I would skip this step. But when I would remember to do it, it would
normally be once a month or even every 6 weeks, which isn’t very useful, as
with age the skin on your face tends to lose elasticity and by using face masks
it could restore some of that elasticity.
I tried some face masks that you can sleep in but it takes a
very long time for it to be absorbed and sometimes I would just fall asleep and
end up waking up with my face stuck to the pillow, which feels disgusting. The
body shop has always had great products so when I read about the drop of youth
bouncy sleeping face mask I wanted to try it out but I didn’t want to buy
another mask and be disappointed in the results whilst also wasting money on
it. So I asked the shop assistant if I could buy a sample size of the face mask
and she offered me a free sample jar with this mask to try it before I bought
it. The jar had enough in it for me to use 4 times because you only need a tiny
amount to use. Once I had used the sample I decided this mask was definitely
worth it and bought myself the full product.
This sleeping face mask is different from any other masks
that I tried before; it has a very weird texture, which reminded me of jelly.
It comes in a glass jar with a little plastic spatula/spoon, which is very
handy. First of all it’s very hygienic and second of all because of the jelly
like texture it is very helpful to scoop and apply to your face. The mask is a
coconut yoghurt colour and the texture is jelly like and feels quite bouncy.
The mask is very cooling and refreshing on the face, you only need a small
amount and then it absorbs very swiftly, just massage it on your face and go to
bed. In the morning my face looks fresh, smooth and moisturised and I feel
refreshed.
The body shop website has a special technique on how to
apply the mask, here is a picture from the website and the link to the tutorial
